This might not be the most appropriate place to post this but I'd just like to get someone else's opinion on the number of casinos coming up in the suburbs of the L Mainland. For me, it's raising some serious concerns about land value in and around those areas. Things like late night traffic, gangs, crime, pawn shops, etc. are going to follow these casinos wherever they go.

Is the community really profiting from them? I don't see anyone happy except for chronic gamblers (and they're usually not happy for long), casino owners, and the city councillors that are likely lining their pockets with the citizen's hard-earned money.
